Primary Academy

Always Children First

Recruitment

Our ethos is clear: 'Always children first'.  We want the best for all our children, families, and our team. We place a strong emphasis on building a healthy team, as we believe that: Happy Team = Happy Children = Happy Families. We create a setting in which all staff know that they are valued and supported. A healthy, happy team creates a healthy, happy school and nursery environment, and a positive friendly atmosphere for the children to thrive in.

Why work with us?

Teaching staff

The quality of Westvale Park's education is largely dependent upon the quality of its staff. So we recruit high quality people and look after them well.  The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, supportive and purposeful. Personal professional development for all staff is a high priority; we have a 'no super chickens' culture amongst staff (see video link below) which allows all staff to be outward looking and continually striving for excellence.  Westvale Park has a supportive body of parents and children thrive from this partnership. Our children are curious, well behaved and eager to learn. We have capitaised on skills in the trust to ensure a well mapped out curriculum, which allows teachers and subject leaders to spend their time on enriching the offer for all pupils. As a brand new school, we offer a state of the art building, brand new resources and extensive grounds. This is an exciting time to join the team, as your ideas will be central to forming the educational culture and ethos of our entire school community as we grow towards becoming a full primary in September 2026.

Volunteers

Westvale Park Primary Academy highly values parents and others who volunteer to help out with school activities. In the demanding world of education, volunteer helpers are a great asset in helping teachers to offer a much broader and differentiated curriculum. They can make the most exciting and rewarding of activities which teachers wish to promote actually possible and we hope to encourage your support, contributions and assistance. Parents and other members of the community have many skills which can be deployed in a school for the benefit of the children’s education and indeed, many school activities would be at risk if it weren’t for your help. Volunteering is open to anyone who wishes to be one, providing they can fulfil all the Safeguarding Children requirements. If you are interested in volunteering or would like to find out more, please contact the school office.

Please note, we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and welfare of our pupils and all our employees and volunteers must embrace this approach. All successful applicants will be required to undergo safeguarding checks and a DBS check.
