Westvale Park Primary Academy Admissions Process
We admit 60 children to our school in the September following their fourth birthday. Whenever possible, we like children to visit the school before they are admitted to familiarise themselves with the building, and the staff with whom they will be working. In the Summer Term of each year, children due to join the school in September visit us for part of the school day, and their parents are invited to an evening visit. Our staff visit all pre-schools and nurseries to discuss the children due to transition to us.
Please see our separate nursery page for information about nursery admissions.
To apply for a reception place for September 2024, you will need to access Surrey County Council's admissions portal. The closing date for applications is 15 January 2024. Consultation notice: Admissions arrangements for Westvale Park Primary Academy 2025-2026
Aurora Academies Trust is consulting on the admission arrangements for Westvale Park Primary
Academy for 2025-2026 as it is required to do under the School Admissions Code 2021. The consultation
is open from 30 October to 10 December, and details including a copy of the proposed arrangements
can be found below.
The following changes are proposed:
Remove current criterion 2: “Priority will next be given to children based on their exceptional medical or
social needs. Each application must include evidence, from a medical specialist or social worker of the
child’s need and why they must attend this school rather than any other, based on those needs. If
evidence is not submitted to the school with the application, a child’s medical or social needs cannot be
considered.”
Remove current criterion 5: “Priority will next be given to children living within 1 mile of the school."
Comments on the proposed arrangements should be submitted to office@auroraacademies.org.
The consultation closes on Sunday 10 December 2023
