What is the LAB?
The purpose of the Local Academy Board, or LAB, is to have oversight of the continual improvement of the school’s educational outcomes.

Who is on the LAB?
The LAB has the following six members:
Chair appointed by Aurora - Andrew Wright
Headteacher (ex officio) - Susan Kelly
1 staff member elected by staff - Ryan Farrant
1 parent members appointed by the LAB following an application process - Mark Siddle
2 community members appointed by the LAB following an application process - Philip Smith and Ushma Olaitan. 

What does a LAB member do?
LAB members contribute to the strategic direction of the school and hold the school’s senior leadership to account for standards within the school. This involves agreeing a school improvement plan and asking challenging questions where necessary. They are also responsible for listening to the school community and being an ambassador for the school locally.
