Welcome to POW!

Parents of Westvale (POW!) is the parent and teacher charity group for Westvale Park Primary Academy.

Our aim is to bring families together, create memorable experiences for the children and raise valuable funds to support the school community.

Throughout the year, we organise a variety of fun events and fundraising activities for children and families to enjoy. From fairs and discos to seasonal celebrations, raffles and donation drives, every event helps create opportunities and experiences that benefit all pupils across the school.

POW is made up entirely of parent and volunteer support, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helps in any way, whether that is volunteering at an event, donating prizes, attending activities or supporting fundraising initiatives.

Together, we can make a real difference for our children and our school community.

Meet the Committee

Our POW committee is made up of parents and volunteers who work together to organise events, fundraising activities and community initiatives throughout the school year.

What We Do

Throughout the year, POW organises a wide range of events and activities to help raise funds and create exciting experiences for our children and families.

These include:

· Summer Fair

· Christmas Fair

· School discos

· Dress-down days

· Easter events

· Sweet and bottle tombola’s

· Raffles and competitions

· Community fundraising initiatives

· Family activities and social events

Funds raised by POW help support additional resources, activities and opportunities that enhance school life for all children at Westvale Park Primary Academy.

How You Can Help

POW is always looking for support from parents, carers and family members.

You do not need to join the committee to get involved, every little bit of help makes a huge difference.

Ways you can support include:

· Volunteering at events

· Helping with set up or pack down

· Donating raffle prizes or supplies

· Supporting fundraising activities

· Sharing ideas and suggestions

· Helping promote events within the community
