We are pleased to confirm that open morning dates are now available for prospective families joining in September 2026.

Westvale Park Primary Academy Admissions Process

We admit 60 children to our school in the September following their fourth birthday. Whenever possible, we like children to visit the school before they are admitted to familiarise themselves with the building, and the staff with whom they will be working. In the Summer Term of each year, children due to join the school in September visit us for part of the school day, and their parents are invited to an evening visit. Our staff visit all pre-schools and nurseries to discuss the children due to transition to us.

To apply for a reception place for September 2026, you will need to access Surrey County Council's admissions portal. The closing date for applications is 15 January 2026. Click here for more information about how to apply.

Should you require an in year admission for Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 or Year 5 (please note we do not currently have Year 6) please contact the school office on 01293 365019 or email westvalepark@westvaleppa.org.uk , to check availability, before completing the below 'SMA Form'. Once your form is received, we will notify you of the outcome of your application within 10 school days. If we are unable to offer a place, you do have the right to appeal the decision.

Please note that Westvale Park Primary Academy opened in September 2020; the oldest children we have on roll were born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016.

Appeals

Other key points

We do not hold appeal hearings in school holidays.

Hearings start after the closing date.

At least 10 school days before the hearing date, you will receive the date and time of your hearing

Before the hearing you will get an appeal pack with all the documents. Bring this pack to the hearing.

Late appeals

If you send your appeal late, we will hear it within:

40 school days of the deadline, or
30 school days of when you sent it (whichever is later).

In-year appeals and school holidays

We hear in‑year appeals within 30 school days of when you submit your appeal.

We do not hold hearings in school holidays.

If you appeal near the end of term, we may hear it in the next term.

If you appeal near the end of the summer term, your hearing may be in the new school year.
